Centurion Medical Products Corporation recently initiated a voluntary recall for a limited number of medical kits that had the potential for having a weak seal on the outer packaging. The recall was initiated with the full knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The recall involved a total of 1736 trays, listed under 17 code numbers and involving a total of 29 customers. Centurion has over 14,000 customers of which nearly 4000 are hospitals. Our total sterile trays sold in 2008 exceeded 12 million units meaning that this recall constituted .0001% of total trays manufactured for the year.

All 29 customers were notified of the potential problem in January and any potentially affected kits were returned to Centurion. The issue associated with the recall was immediately resolved. No accounts were notified that were not affected.

If you are a Centurion customer and you were NOT notified of this potential problem in January of this year then you have no Centurion products that were affected by this limited recall.
